Founding the Beckett School of piano in Waterloo in 1980 and building it to accomodate more than 1,000 students in music, art and drama, taught me the importance of operating a good business, hiring highly trained faculty and understanding the art of teaching.

When I finally had time to exercise and work on physical fitness, it was not hard for me to decide on
Christine's. Once I met her and toured that state-of-the-art facility, I discovered that the friendly atmosphere, excellent trainers and immaculately-kept work out areas were very inviting. Extras such as
Pilates,
Yoga, Shiatsu,
Reflexology and
Hydrotheraphy were added attractions - and I can't forget the Bistro which tempted me with lovely aromas of healthy cooking.

Personal training is similar to learning to play a musical instrument. You have your lession, then practise what you've learned, and eventually you will see progress. As in music, you have to be consistent to get good results. Adding group activities such as
Pilates or
Yoga is like taking ensemble classes in music. These strengthen basic skills that you have learned in private instruction; then for a treat either in music or physical fitness, a Shiatsu Massage fills the bill.

After three and half years of working out at
Christine's I am still enthusiastic as when I started. Keeping up my personal fitness is fundamental to maintaining my physical, emotional and mental health.
